I was wrapping my Christmas presents, thinking to myself “gosh I love bows.” Doesn’t matter what it is, things just look cuter with a bow on it. Take the glamorous bow prom skirt featured in this post, it’s a lovely skirt but it’s even more perfect with that big bow accenting the waist. I’d love to have it for the holidays (but it appears to be sold out at the moment).

Over the moon for these Overalls

 

 

Years ago, I saw a red pair of skinny overalls on a Korean singer and I couldn’t let it go. But until recently I haven’t been able to find a pair that made me swoon as much as I saw on her.

I was browsing on tumblr and saw a photo of the perfect pair of overalls. I squeeled in delight…then I cried from the heartbreak of finding out they are sold out. *Sigh* If they ever come back in stock, I’m stocking up! They’re from a website called the white pepper, and I’m assuming that’s the brand.

What I love about them is the cross between vintage and modern. You know how some overalls scream retro that you couldn’t wear them out without looking like you stepped out of an 80’s time machine. Others, that are modern, aren’t versatile. They’re either too laid back, so one can’t dress them, or they’re made of some awful material like pleather. These ones are so…chic!

Although I missed out on those ones,  I did buy a pair of skinny leg overalls from a different site. They were a lot cheaper and hopefully they’ll be just as cute in person. I’ll update when they arrive.

Graphic Sweaters

I love graphic t-shirts and how they can make a look more fun or laid back, but when the chill of winter comes around I don’t like to be in anything but a comfy, cozy, sweater. Thank goodness some designers let me have a quirky or cute styles found in my graphic tees without compromising warmth. Graphic sweaters/sweatshirts are in this year and it’s a nice change from the typical knitted plaid or solid sweaters you see throughout the colder months. Fun, cute, and cheap Haul

 

 

Over the past couple months, I’ve collected some cute, fun, and cherishable items…all within a good price range.

 

The fox mask comes from Urban Outfitters and the main reason for the purchase is so I can take “interesting” outfit photos. It wasn’t a halloween purchase, though the mask would work great for a costume. It was 10.50 and though the price is low and it is a fun accessory IT IS VERY CHEAPLY MADE. It came cracked out of the package. It is hard to see out of the eye holes and it’s a bit itchy. I don’t hate it. But I wouldn’t be quick to recommend it.

 

Art reader glasses: these also came from Urban Outfitters and they are tre chic. At first I felt like a complete geek in them, but they grew on me and are fun way to switch up your look. They are easy to see out of and for a little over 4 dollars they are great for a budget seeker.

 

Forever Elizabeth is my new favorite perfume. The scent…the take me away to an old hollywood film as a lead actress scent. Dreamy. I am smitten by it. It is mild but lasts, works for day and night (though it is recommended for casual wear), and comes in a beautiful bottle. I am not fragrance fanatic. I usually turn away from perfumes, but this one has made me lover of perfumes once again. I feel it embodies Elizabeth Taylor and all the sophistication and hollywood glamor that represents her. The next items come from Alloy.com. If you have narrow feet like me, I recommend the mika pink ballet flats. They are so comfortable and only $9.99! Alloy.com has some great inexpensive accessories like the liesel tiered necklace in the picture which was only 4.99. And finally, a last minuet add-on, was my Go Bayside tee, for only 7 dollars. The one shown in the photo is an extra small and it still feels loose, which I like.

Lace Collar Tops

If there’s one style of shirts/tops that I can rarely pass by it’s a decorative collared shirt, particularly lace. I’m glad that there are a number of designers out there that like this preppy style as much as I do for it gives me many options when shopping for such items. There is something about lace in general that makes one immediately say “isn’t that lovely.” Lace collar tops have a certain romantic charm about them but also at the same time something girlish and youthful. A cute lace collar top with a skirt is preppy and schoolgirl chic. But paired with some hot leather pants the same top can make a bolder more urban statement. There are a number of ways to play around with these style tops and whether they are in trend are not, I will forever remain faithful to cute collared tops.
